Indian football legend and Arjuna Awardee Brahmanand Sankhwalkar visits Zinc Football Academy

The former Indian Football Team Captain and Legendary Goalkeeper was delighted to see the world-class facilities in Zawar, Udaipur
Udaipur (Rajasthan), 14 December 2018: Indian legendary footballer and Chief Mentor of SESA Football Academy, Brahmanand Sankhwalkar along with Technical Director of the Goa-based Academy, Eduard Xuxu Batlle visited Zinc Football Academy in Zawar, Udaipur on Friday. During the visit, both of them engaged in an interactive session with the young footballers of Zinc Football, sharing their experiences with the kids and highlighting the various aspects to become better football players.
The former Indian Captain was full of praises for the Hindustan Zinc Limited initiative and regarded it to be the most promising technology-hinged football academy in India which would definitely produce heaps of young and talented footballers for the national team in the future.
Arjuna Awardee Brahmanand Sankhwalkar further said: “The FIFA Under-17 World Cup and Indian Super League have helped to bring about a footballing wave in the country. Children are now more excited to make their careers in the sport. That’s where Vedanta Football has been successfully bridging the gap between the communities and helping the young footballers get exposed to the world. I am so delighted to see the world-class Residential Academy in Zawar and the 64 Zinc Football Schools spread across Rajasthan, which will help reduce the gap between the communities and mark a strategic roadmap in taking these young footballers ahead.”
Spaniard Eduard Xuxu Batlle, the Technical Director of Sesa Football Academy, said: “These world-class facilities are necessary for the growth of Indian Football overall. Merging SESA Football Academy’s vast experience with Zinc Football’s technological base into Vedanta Football is just a step forward to produce more young footballers in India.”
